hit the shelves on the 25th of September and Moral Decay were eager
to finally get some new content between our hands after 5 months of Dragon
The road to 90
was the leveling race, with Ghrum being the first Moral Decay member to reach
level 90 as well as the server first Shaman! Honorable mentions should also
include Cerox, who got Server First Priest and Zwieb who was the 2nd
warrior to reach 90, but the first to snatch a pair of 509 bracers of the BMAH for
the initial posting price. Congratulations to all of them!
The rest of
the guild didn’t slack either and 2 days in we had enough players to form a
decent raid group, and Sha of Anger fell quickly afterwards. 3 days later and
we snatched Galleon as well, leaving us eagerly waiting for Mogu’shan Vaults to
open. The final heroics were grinded, BoEs were bought and rotations perfected.
night left us with two bosses dead, Stone Guard and Feng the Accursed, and good
tries on the third, none of them very difficult. Once we’ve learned when to
break the chains and to not stack with the arcane debuff, they were easy epics.
Only notable event was our resto druid Naturesfury standing up to the army of
Monks on World of Logs and showing them that they maybe imbalanced, but raw
skill can make up for that!
Showing the world whats up...
night left us with two more bosses dead, Gara’jal the Spiritbinder and Spirit
Kings, and we were ready to face the real test of the normal mode race, Elegon,
heralded by many as the return the hard normal bosses we hadn’t seen since early
Cataclysm. Elegon would take us 2 days of progress and a reset more of gear,
but he fell on Wednesday, with Will of the Emperor falling on Thursday, opening up Heroic mode for us.
Ugly kill-shot, but a clean kill
Heroic Modes with many of our members still wearing blue gear, but with a clear
idea of what we wanted to accomplish: kill as much as possible while avoiding
the same thing happening to us.
Guard was a fun fight on heroic and he died by the end of the first night. Setting up
who lights the tiles and who gets to stay on the boss was an interesting
experience, but once it was sorted and the deaths to frost traps were
eliminated, the boss fell quickly.
[insert kill-shot here]
currently working on Feng the Accursed so expect a kill shot of him soon!
